Parts Inventory & Procurement Manager

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Parts Inventory & Logistics Manager, we are looking for a Parts Inventory & Procurement Manager to oversee the management of our parts inventory across the business, based at our Clayton Head office Branch.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong inventory & procurement professional with a strong background in inventory control, procurement, and a deep understanding of parts and systems.

Your key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Manage the total inventory control function for the entire company.
  • Management of the William Adams parts inventory vendors.
  • Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives and projects with a focus on improved efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work cross functionally with the purchasing team on all inventory related tenders
  • Working closely with Caterpillar Global Parts & Service Logistics Division
  • Provide direction, coaching and motivation to the parts inventory, planning and expediting team

ABOUT YOU

You will ideally have the following skills, experience & attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business administration or related field
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a parts operation, inventory management logistics role
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to address complex logistical challenges
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems (DBS)
