William Adams Cat are on the lookout for an experienced and qualified Resident Field Service Diesel Technician. This is an autonomous and fast paced role that will see you working in Ballarat and surrounds and reporting to our Branch Manager in Horsham.

A typical day for a Resident Diesel Technician will include:

• Providing excellent customer service to our customers
• Trouble shooting, repairs (same day) and maintenance on various Caterpillar equipment
• Travel to and from customers sites
• Ensuring accurate service reports are completed in a timely manner
• Effectively managing all parts requirements - orders and credits
• Compliance with all company safety, health and environment procedures

ABOUT YOU

You will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

• Qualified, experienced and highly capable Diesel Technician / Mechanic
• Advanced mechanical diagnostic skills
• Ability to service customers and their equipment to a very high standard
• Ability to follow the job right through from booking to invoicing, as the key contact
• Excellent time management and ability to think on your feet
• Proven ability to be self-motivated and to work unsupervised
• Current Drivers and Light Rigid Licence (heavy vehicle licence is also highly regarded)
• Experience working on Cat machinery and knowledge of Cat parts and service systems (advantageous)
