Smart Camera Quick Reference Guide

<ul><li>A rear-facing smart camera actively looks for people, providing real-time monitoring behind the machine.</li><li>A high-definition, touchscreen display provides the operator with additional views around the machine and engages with the operator when a person is detected behind the machine.</li><li>The Smart Camera detects people around the machine using an algorithm, without the need for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) wearables.</li><li>Intelligent alerts notify the operator when people are behind the machine. The frequency and intensity of the visual and audible alarms increases the closer someone gets to the machine.</li></ul>

WHAT IT DOES

<ul><li>A smart camera placed on the rear of the machine differentiates between people and background objects. When people are detected behind the machine, the system triggers a visual and audible alert based on an individual's proximity.</li><li>When a person is in the YELLOW zone, the system identifies the detected person on the display, but does not provide an audible alert.</li><li>When a person is in the ORANGE zone, the system identifies the detected person on the display and provides an intermittent audible alert.</li><li>When a person is in the RED zone, the system identifies the detected person on the display and provides a solid, audible alert.</li><li>All people detected on the display are identified by a red box.</li></ul>

HOW IT WORKS

<ul><li>The system detects personnel in a wider field of view than is shown on the display.</li><li>Visual alerts indicate a person in the off-display zones.</li><li>When a person is in the off-display zone, the system will provide red or yellow on-screen indicator bars based on proximity to the machine.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Cameras increase awareness of potential blind spots and jobsite activities.</li><li>Machine movement prompts front and rear cameras to show optimal views on the display.​</li><li>The in-cab display connects to the cameras through harnessing. The high-definition, touchscreen display shows real-time camera feed from all cameras.</li></ul>

<ul><li>The Surround Camera system provides operators with simultaneous, top-down views from the front, rear, left and right cameras.</li><li>When the machine is in reverse, the rear camera view is shown on the display. At all other times, the front camera view is displayed.</li><li>The display allows for simple configuration and customization to get the most desired view possible.​</li></ul>

<ul><li>On the right side of the in-cab display, the monitor shows top-down views of the front, rear, left and right cameras.</li><li>The left side of the display shows a dedicated camera view that will automatically be determined by machine movement.</li><li>The operator can configure the monitor to show the dedicated camera view at full screen. They also have the option to display the side camera views on the left side of the monitor — except when the machine is in reverse.</li></ul>
