Diesel Technician: AUR31216 – Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology

Auto Electrician: AUR30316 – Cert III in Automotive Electrical Technology

Boilermaker/Fabricator: MEM30305 – Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade

Machinists/Fitter: MEM30219 – Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade

As a William Adams Apprentice, you will join over 300 Technicians that are passionate about what they do and are leaders in their field. You will enjoy state of the art training, above award wages, uniform (including overalls, personal protective equipment and steel-capped boots) and a subsidised Caterpillar tool kit.

At the end of your apprenticeship, we offer great scope for promotion and advancement within the company. Many of our Leaders began their careers as trade apprentices with William Adams, including our Executive Chairman, Dale Elphinstone.

To be a William Adams Apprentice, you will have initiative, mechanical aptitude and a thirst for a challenge. You must have completed a minimum of year 10, with sound results in Maths, English and Science or Technology. We look for candidates who are committed to a successful career with William Adams. It is also expected that you will have some knowledge or experience within our industry and have a genuine passion for it.

Here are some things you can do to prepare; Do plenty of research on our business and the Caterpillar machinery, get some exposure to anything mechanical and prepare your resume and cover letter. You want to stand out from the crowd. If you are a school student, arrange to complete some work experience at your closest William Adams branch. Ensure you keep focusing on school and achieving good results for now, as we will want to see your school reports when you apply.
